Fun Time Guitars sources only the funnest in vintage acoustic instruments from the glory days of Harmony, Kay, Silvertone, United, Airline, Regal, Truetone, etc. If it ain’t fun, we don’t wanna know about it!

Fun Time deals predominantly in six-stringed, birch-ply, ladder-braced, steel-reinforced necked, trapeze-tailpieced, three-quarter-sized parlor guitars and big ol’ archtops – the kind originally sold via mail order by retail chains like Sears & Roebuck, Montgomery Ward and Western Auto. Some call them “beaters”. We call them endlessly playable.

These instruments were built to be affordable from day one, and they still are! Every guitar we list is cleaned up, strung up, and made ready to go, so you can spend less time tinkering and more time playing.

While we do our best to present each piece cleanly and free of major defects, you should expect scratches, scuffs, dings, pick wear, faded finishes, discoloration, chipped paint, missing varnish, oxidized hardware, warped wood, and other honest signs of life. Please refer to each item’s description and photos to assess its cosmetic condition before clicking the “Gimme!” button.

All our guitars are used, vintage items and as such are sold “as is”, no returns. Thank you for respecting that.
