Explorers Percussion is a full line percussion and drum shop located in Kansas City, Missouri. We have been family owned since our doors opened in 1984 and our goal has been to provide drummers and percussionists with the best possible service, equipment, and best experience that can be found in this industry.
Explorers offers all major brands of cymbals and gongs, including Zildjian, Sabian, Paiste, Meinl, Wuhan, Istanbul. Snare drums and drum set brands in stock are Tama, Pearl, DW, PDP, C&C, Gretsch, Sonor, Ludwig, Mapex and Yamaha, as well as custom drums we build in our own shop. Explorers also carriers many ethnic percussion items from Brazil, Cuba, Africa and India. Djembes, congas, bongos, timbales, tabla, doumbek and darbuka are all offered along with other hand percussion items. The electronic department includes electronic sets and pads from Roland, Alesis and Yamaha. Many hard to find parts are in stock, along with a shop to do drum repair and drum recovering service. This includes all major brands of heads and accessories.
For the student, Explorers has entry level drum sets, snare drum kits and bell kits. The educator will find timpani, concert bass drums and marching drums and mallet instruments. Mallets and sticks for all the above - such as Vic Firth, Promark, Cooperman, Vater, Zildjian, Mike Balter and Innovative.

Shipping Policy
All shipping rates on listings are for the continental United States. AK and HI may have a shipping surcharge. UPS and USPS are our preferred carriers.

General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Special Conditions
Explorers offers a 7 day return policy on new items as long as they return in brand new condition. This time begins on the delivery date of the item. If you wish to return an item you must contact us first to obtain a return authorization. The buyer is also responsible for shipping both ways. After 7 days we may still allow a return but a restocking charge may apply. A restocking fee will also apply to items returned in non new condition or missing the original packaging.
Used items are sold "as is" with no return.
