Our goal is to make sure you’re confident when you buy from us, so we’ve built a return policy that’s fair, simple, and transparent — while keeping your instrument protected every step of the way.
New Items

General Terms
Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or not as described.
If we covered your shipping (“Free Shipping”), our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from the refund unless the return is due to damage or defect.
All non-damage-related returns are subject to a restocking fee.
Our policies reflect industry-wide standards for the handling, setup, maintenance, and return of wooden instruments.
Photo Priority & Condition Disclosure
We make every effort to accurately describe each guitar, but our high-resolution photos are the primary representation of its condition.
Photos take priority over text for evaluating condition.
Minor finish marks, small blemishes, or other imperfections not explicitly stated in the description may be visible in photos.
Many of our instruments come from manufacturer returns, refurbishments, or customer returns. These are fully inspected and set up by our techs, but most do not include factory warranties and are marked/stamped “used” per manufacturer agreements.
If Something’s Not Right
If you believe an item is not as described:
Please review all listing images carefully before claiming a discrepancy.
“Not as described” claims are evaluated based on photos and item details, not solely the written description.
Setup, Environment & Playability Disclaimer
Every guitar shipped by EGA Guitars receives a standard/basic setup in a controlled environment of approximately 70°F and 50% relative humidity to ensure proper function at the time of shipment.
Because guitars are made of wood, neck relief, action, intonation, and overall setup may shift naturally during transit or after arrival due to changes in temperature, humidity, or how the instrument is stored.
These natural shifts — as well as differences in personal playability preference — are not considered defects or “not as described” conditions.
Please note:
Our basic setup ensures proper structural and functional playability, but it is not a customized or personalized setup tailored to an individual player’s preferred action, feel, tuning, or string gauge.
Routine adjustments such as truss rod tweaks, saddle height changes, intonation adjustments, or string replacement are considered normal guitar maintenance and may be required after delivery.
These normal setup needs do not qualify for seller-paid return shipping and are not valid grounds for a “not as described” claim.
If a guitar arrives with an issue beyond normal setup expectations, or with actual damage or a true discrepancy, we will gladly assist and resolve it promptly — but personal preference or environmental changes do not constitute a defect.
Damaged Shipments
If your guitar arrives damaged, let us know immediately so we can take care of it:
Send photos of the shipping box, instrument/case damage, and packing materials.
If the same model is available, we’ll send a replacement once the damaged item is returned.
If no replacement is available, we’ll issue a full refund after return and inspection.
Final Sale Items
Any guitar sold via an accepted offer is considered a final sale and is not eligible for return or exchange.
