Hello Reverb community. I am offering amps, guitars, pedals and parts from my personal collection. I also service and restore Fender, Marshall, Hiwatt, etc amplifiers. Special emphasis will be on offering fine quality vintage Marshall amplifiers (listings coming soon). These will be of interest to the collector or discerning enthusiast. I've been working with clients locally the last several years. Nearly 40 years experience, with training as an electronics technologist. I have now decided to offer up some of my collection on Reverb. As a huge Marshall fan, I have literally spent hours on each amp, meticulously detailing them versus the original schematic, restoring back to stock if needed, cleaning them inside and out, and making sure they are operating properly and sounding their best. I've been picky with my collection; they look great too.

Features:

- Amplifier Check List and Notes detailing all work and observations
- bias setting; measure power tube plate (B+) voltage, set and note bias current
- tubes tested for shorts, gas, gain (gm) and life, and values noted
- original transformers, unless noted
- original full set of mustard caps, unless noted
- the all-important power section serviced; clean sockets, contacts, impedance selector, speaker jacks, and verify output jack resistance to allow full power to speaker cabinets
- inspect solder connections
- replacement of out of spec components and heat damaged resistors (ie screen resistors)
- other parts and hardware replaced with vintage, correct NOS or new as close to spec, and noted
- tone optimization with vintage preamp and power tubes (case by case, or by request)
- circuits verified to original schematic or returned to stock circuit, and noted
- blueprint non standard amp circuit versus schematic and note differences
- some amps may have post-phase inverter master volume
- repair minor tolex issues with actual vintage tolex, and noted
- some amps completely retolexed with vintage correct covering, and noted
- no Armour-All used! Time consuming process of surface cleaner, soap and water only!
- carefully cleaned front and back panels
- some cabs may have replaced grill cloth, and noted

- absolutely no parts harvesting (sadly, it still happens)
- reforming filter capacitors may be a consideration, after their usage history is considered and inspection. Do not crank that amp if it has been sitting in the closet or garage for years!
- unleash the full tonal potential of your amp by carefully selecting from my - vintage preamp tubes and proper power tubes; this alone can make a huge difference with amazing results
- full tube testing, and replace worn or defective tubes
- replace power tubes with a matched set, and use bias coding for future ordering and installing without having to rebias (eg bias coded matched sets from The Tubestore)
- Restore circuit to original stock schematic, remove modifications
- install grounded power cord and disconnect death caps
- installation of master volume (not recommended for vintage amps, unless previously modified)
- plug panel holes to match closely with panels
- repair tolex and clean up head cab and panels; increase the value of your amp while making it look good
- complete retolexing also available
- grill cloth replacement
