Modern electronics are amazing but nothing beats the real thing! Vintage amps just feel, smell and sound authentic. The Amporium’s mission is to restore vintage guitar amps and keep them relevant in the modern world. Vintage amps were mostly designed for the stage and - especially if they have been neglected - they can be big, loud and noisy. Well serviced, carefully set up and used with an attenuator, though, they can offer glorious classic tone and touch-sensitive playability that can be ideal for recording and practice just as much as performing. I service, restore and - if necessary - modify guitar amps from the 60s through to recent reissues so that they sound great and can preserve their classic sounds for today’s musicians.

Anything I am selling can be viewed and tried by arrangement in my Southampton home - just drop me a line to organise. I usually have at least 5 or 6 vintage amps to play and a collection of great guitars. I also make good coffee! I have only fairly recently started selling on Reverb so have little feedback but I have a long history of selling on another well known online auction site (four letters, starts with 'e'`!) so you can check out my feedback and history there.
