Hello and Thank you for looking at my listings! I am a long time saxophone player and collector of over 50 years. I started playing sax in 6th grade. But life, work, school, kids activities all played in the mix. I started out playing a Conn Director tenor saxophone. I tell all kids, who ask me, "what should I start with?" find a good vintage second hand saxophone. Stay away from the junk Chinese ones. If you can learn on a sub par saxophone, you'll be able to play anything that gets set in front of you. And find one that fits your hands. Some are suited to longer fingers, some are suited to shorter fingers. Try them out. So, yes, I can play any sax you put in front of me. Including older ergo-dynamics. Personally, I was never a Selmer Mark fan. I play mostly vintage Buescher Super 400's, Buffet S-1, King Super 20's, and A slew of Beaugnier/LeBlanc and Dolnet manufactured.
I do not own a business who just turn instruments without any knowledge of the instrument. I play test all my saxophones to give you an honest description. That way you know what you will be receiving. I try to take the best pictures and videos I can. But most, do not do the instrument justice. All my instruments are from a smoke free and humidity controlled environment home. I also use an ozone machine to eliminate, sometimes decades, of odors and purifies the case and instrument.
