When I – as a composer* – found that different guitars resulted in different music, I started hunting, buying and improving guitars of many kinds. Mainly gut / classical guitars. Every one is a dear trophy. Adjusted to perfect intonation. And to my preferred action: around 3 mm or lower (flamenco) to be able to produce more buzzing cello-like tones – or shorter snappy tones at harder strokes. Normally it is easy to adjust by pushing the trapezoid bone-piece toward the bass side (decreasing the action) or toward the treble side (increasing the action). But I gladly will adjust it for you❗️

Some personal experiences / views on "guitar" and "music teachers":
All guitars should be born with a zero fret. For better intonation especially in the first fret. And for unlimited use of strings of different thickness. – A simpel and convenient feature that seems to be close to forgotten.
As a rule laminated back and sides are stronger and more resistant to moisture and temperature and have no bad impact on the sound – also in my experience.
Some people believe that the Spanish style = one piece neck/block and glued dovetail neck has a better sustain, but testing has failed to confirm this.
Therefore it is surprising how few guitar makers using the Floating fretboard / Stauffer bolt system, that easily allows adjusting the action by turning the bolt with a key – and with the same key separate the neck from the body for easy transport as hand luggage. The floating fretboard provides a larger vibrating top surface and is not restricted as with conventional joints.
End Balls:
The most common/traditional ways to string a classical guitar actually lift the strings between the bone piece and the wooden bridge, which COULD reduce volume❗️❓
In addition, this end-ball stringing is easier + you have the opportunity to put a more personal aesthetic touch on your guitar.
"Dear Gutten,
I received the notes and the beautifull balls. Thanks a lot for all. I mounted the balls at the Ibanez and the Giorgio Invictus, and was quite astonished how much this sound-improvement was!! I did not expect such a big positive difference. It is fantastic, what you found out, and which solution you developed." (Ulf Nazasenka – 2023.11.13)

Points of view : 👀
Like road stripes – also position dots (at the edge af the fretboard) can be paramount in some situations. And if you play different mensurs, it's even more ridiculous to expect 'the perfect overview'❗️ I myself prefer 2 dots – in 7. and in 17. fret. It is very easy to drill at little hole, drip a bit of white paint in it and let it dry. Of course if using a capo very often in different frets some people could be confused due to the dots – if too many.
Music teachers:
First of all: Beware of teachers who insist on changing your technique. I have seen and heard of far too many people who have been injured because they had more confidence in their teacher than in their own body. Like teachers starting music lessons with sheet music – a very intellectual, indirect and unnecessary approach to music that has spoiled thousands of people's interest in playing. Imagine that you have to learn to read as a condition of speaking❗️
