As of 2023 I've been building custom guitar electronics for over 10 years and I've been building & modified drum cymbals for over 3 years.
My guitar pedals are made from scratch. I build the circuit boards point-to-point with high quality parts, drill & paint the boxes.
My drum cymbals are from various brands but I use mostly Zildjian (ZBT-ZHT-ZXT-I-S) and Sabian (B8-B8Pro-B8X-APX) cymbals as blanks to be lathe, hammer, holes, patina......
I modify B20 cymbals from time to time (cut downs, tappers, holes) but B8 & B12 are the materials I prefer to work with for its flexibility/durability and their blend of bright & dark.
