REVERB HOW TO'S
How to Ship Eurorack Modules, 500 Series Modules, or Other Modular Gear
REVERB HOW TO'S
The basic rule is: You don't want the module moving with its shipping box, and you want plenty of padding around it so that nothing is damaged, even if the carrier knocks it around a bit.
Do not ship a module of any kind within an envelope or loosely within a shipping box. It doesn't matter if the envelope is lined with bubble wrap. Just don't do it.
- The manufacturer's box that came with your module (or if you don't have one, ideally a box of similar size)
- A larger shipping box that is 2" to 3" larger than your module's box (you can order packs of small shipping boxes from Reverb here)
- Heavy packing paper, foam sheets, bubble wrap, or similar packing material
- Packing tape
- A plastic bag (gallon-sized Ziploc work well, or equivalent)

Wrap the module in bubble wrap, foam sheets, or heavy packing paper, so that it's snug in its manufacturer's box. If you don't have a manufacturer's box or a replacement, wrap the module in plenty of bubble wrap.
For Eurorack modules in particular, secure the ribbon or any other cable or connector so that it can't move around during transit.
Wrap any separate power supply separately. Tape it down either within the manufacturer's box or in your shipping box so that it can't knock around and damage the module in transit.
Place the module box or the bubble-wrapped module within the plastic bag. This will help protect against water in case of rain or snow.
Line the bottom of your shipping box with a few inches of packing material.
Place your module's box within the shipping box. Fill up all the empty space within the shipping box with packing material.
Mark the package for "Fragile" shipping. Note "Do Not Stack," and "This Side Up" in the appropriate spots.
Apply your shipping label and double-check it is correct.
Give the box a little shake to make sure the module is secure.
