Ludwig 20/12/14 60's Club Date Drum Set - Blue Oyster Pearl 1960's Ludwig Club Date drums, finished in a vibrant Blue Oyster wrap. The 12 and 20 were paired and the 14 is an add on by original owner. The wraps match nicely on this kit, and their bearing edges and interiors are in good condition with minor wear on each drum. Drums are normally worn for a kit this age. The wrap is still vibrant and seams lay tight. Bass drum hoops have chipped paint. See notes for modifications. Serial Nos: 14x20" – 159157, 8x12" – 154946, 14x14" – 321286 Heads: Evans EC2S batter/Evans reso on toms. Evans EMAD batter/Ludwig reso (original). Notes: 14x20 bass drum: interior nuts/bolts were corroded. After soaking / cleaning, lug screws and washers took on a copper appearance (all original lug nuts/washers reinstalled). Updated with Gretsch telescopic spurs to fit original spur holes. Rail consolette is updated with Maxwell Reproduction Rail Consolette. Cymbal arm bracket removed exposing two holes. All tension rods and hoop claws original. 8x12 tom (dated Jul 15, 1965): batter hoop replaced with chrome 1.6mm triple flange hoop. Bottom hoop is the original nickel hoop. Updated with Ludwig P1216D tom bracket. Internal lug mounting screws/washers were replaced (non-Ludwig). The tone control and all tension rods are original. 14x14 floor tom: date stamped but cannot read clearly. Floor tom tone control is after- market. Has some small cracks inside shell. All original internal lug screws/washers and bolts holding leg brackets have been updated with proper fitting screws/washers (non-Ludwig). Spring loaded leg brackets work smoothly / hold legs securely. All but one tension rods are original.
