Overview
The Fender Contempo combo organ was made between 1967 and 1971 as a competitor to the Vox and Farfisa combo organs of the 1960s. Featuring a sturdy wooden case like its contemporary the Fender Rhodes electric piano, the Contempo has bass and treble voices, with a Normal/Solo switch to change the bass keys between bass and treble voices. The Contempo also offers onboard vibrato and tremolo effects as well as a "Solo Timbre" switch for added brightness and an unusual volume pedal that can spin side-to-side for added tone control.
