About this listing
A used American Vintage '62 Jazzmaster, recreating the "slab" era, has arrived! Originally developed for jazz guitarists, the Jazzmaster went on to become an icon of the alternative rock scene and is now considered one of the classic models. This particular model is a f62-spec reissue featuring a slab-style rosewood fingerboard?widely regarded as the quintessential Jazzmaster configuration. It features a maple neck with a slab-style rosewood fingerboard, an alder body, and the characteristic floating tremolo and spiral-saddle bridge. It is equipped with the gAmerican Vintage f62 Single-Coil Jazzmasterh pickups, and the preset control circuitry has also been faithfully reproduced. The output jack has been replaced. Additionally, the tremolo arm and the arm sleeve on the bridge side (the receiving side) have been replaced with new parts. The neck has been adjusted with shims. This is the default setup for a Jazzmaster, and adding a neck angle also helps prevent strings from dropping off. The body shows picking marks, wipe marks, fine dents, and scuffs. Additionally, there are marks around the control area of the pickguard that appear to have been left by a protective film left on for an extended period.
