Visit Superbooth 20 Online in the Canceled Conference's "Home Edition"

Superbooth, like so many of the world's conferences and festivals, was closed because of coronavirus, but organizers and participants have instead put as much of the conference online as they can.

As one of the largest gatherings for synth and electronic music enthusiasts, Superbooth always offers enough programming to fill a weekend with tutorials, panels, and performances. Now, whether you were planning to travel to Berlin this year or not, you can immerse yourself in the Superbooth 2020 experience.

There are dozens of videos on the Superbooth 2020 Home Edition site and more on #Superbooth20 YouTube videos, including tapeloop education workshops, an introduction to the Erica Synths Fusion System II, and the reveal of the Sixty Four Pixels Noodlebox Sequencer. Performances by Panic Girl, Flirren, and Headless Horseman showcase the diversity and ingenuity of the hardware world.

MATTHS' Home Edition Live Eurorack Performance

Additional Home Edition material includes the HerrSchneider modular caroussel, an interactive installation piece showcased within a public facing gallery. The carousel invites fellow modular fans to incorporate their rigs during scheduled appointments. The GH36 Gallery, which includes a street window, allows folks to view the piece and its growing modular additions. The gallery also plans to install public facing speakers, allowing those intrigued by the piece to immerse themselves within the world of hardware.

If you’re looking to further delve into the world of synth production and performance, artists such as MATTHS have contributed video content illustrating live patch and melodic layering work. Similarly, the duo Nguyễn Baly and Tara Transitory invite viewers into their studio to explore their modular setup and observe their work with tape manipulation.

The synth makers Expert Sleepers also walk users through their new module, the Super Disting EX Plus. Within the presentation, users are given the opportunity to view the improvements made to this line, including unique polyphonic samples and the inclusion of an iconic stereo tape delay sound.

Check it all of the virtual festivities at Superbooth's Home Edition Site and at the #Superbooth20 YouTube hashtag.
