Warm Audio, a brand known for its excellent and affordable modern recreations of vintage gear, is back with the release of two more feature-packed pedals: the new WA-C1 and Pedal76.
The WA-C1 is a modern recreation of Boss' legendary big box Chorus Ensemble, while the Pedal76 aims to give players the functionality of the famed 1176 compressor in pedal form.
The faithfully recreated chorus features an all-analog preamp, lush chorus settings with separate depth and rate controls, and a vibrato section that's as true the original pedal as it can be. The pedal also features an added hi-z switch on the back, which allows players to compensate for higher impedance of guitars versus keyboards and to add clarity to the high-end on guitars.
The Pedal76, meanwhile, is an all-analog, transformer-balanced FET compressor pedal with controls that mirror that of the 1176 and associated plugins. Controls-wise, it features knobs for ratio, attack, release, output, and input—and it also has a nifty VU meter built right onto its face.
