Video: Walrus Audio Vanguard Dual Phase

Wanting to give you the ultimate in phasing flexibility, Walrus Audio created the Vanguard Dual Phase, a — you guessed it — dual phaser pedal that gives you the power to dial in the most subtle phasing or some wildly out-of-control sounds.

The Vanguard essentially sends your signal first through a ten-stage phaser, then giving you the option to send it through a second phaser that has three potential voicings: ten-stage with regeneration, six-stage with pitch bend, or four-stage with filter.

If you choose to just to send your signal through the top tier phaser, just set the second phaser’s controls to zero and play with the first’s five knobs controlling dry mix, rate, depth, regenerations, and wet mix. If you choose one of the three additional phasers to run your signal through, you’re given the option to play with phaser two’s settings using rate, depth, and tweak controls.

A plethora of inputs and outputs give you a world of possibility with the Vanguard, like a stereo input, two outputs, expression control, and a Remote input. If you had any doubt about the flexibility of the Vanguard Dual Phase, let those thoughts be banished: Walrus Audio thought of pretty much everything to deliver as many options and possibilities in one stylish chassis as possible.
