Video: TomKat Day Dreamer Echo-Reverb

Tired of multiple reverb and delay stompboxes taking up valuable pedalboard space? Then just grab the TomKat Day Dreamer echo-reverb pedal, plug it in and play.

Super intuitive and easy to use, the Day Dreamer gives you just one control to dial in as much or little reverb as you want. Crank it up for some super-spacey, atmospheric reverb or keep it constrained for something a little more springy. If you’re not one to fuss around with the intricacies of your reverb, then the simplicity of this function is perfect.

Three separate knobs control the echo:

  • the time knob, which can give you up to 600ms of delay
  • the regeneration knob
  • and an overall mix knob

If you want some self-oscillation, just turn up the regen knob up past 4 o’clock, or keep it in the sweet spot just before the Day Dreamer self-oscillates.

Though the Day Dreamer is simple to use and builds great ‘verb and delay with almost no effort, there are a few hidden features that give you extra control over your sound — and are just plain fun to play with. Internal trim pots help you shape your sound with precision, but the free-fall mode is where the fun comes in. If you hold the button down for a few seconds, the Day Dreamer sends you spinning right into a self-oscillation that can be bumped up or dialed down with the regen control.

Right now, TomKat will be selling their awesome Day Dreamer echo-reverb pedal exclusively on Reverb for 30 days.
