Video: The Official Spoon Reverb Shop Is Opening Soon

Spoon gained notoriety the hard way: touring and putting out solid record after solid record for over two decades. The Austin, Texas-based band has won the attention of millions of fans and solidified the group as what Time Magazine called "one of the greatest American rock bands of its generation."

Now they're preparing to sell their gear in The Official Spoon Reverb Shop.

Spoon's shop will include road-worn gear and studio mainstays including rare guitars, pedals and synths. Some of the items previously had a home in drummer Jim Eno's Public Hi-Fi recording studio, where artists and groups like Lady Gaga, Explosions in the Sky, and The Shins have recorded.

Among the shop's stock is a Klon Centaur (non-horsie version), the infamous pedal known for its rarity, price, and transparent overdrive sound. Frontman Britt Daniel used this pedal on stage as his main overdrive from 2009 - 2019.

Along with the Klon, the Official Spoon Reverb Shop will also include:

  • A Digital Keyboards Synergy, a rare additive polysynth from the '80s. It was used extensively on Girls Can Tell and provides most of the keyboard sounds heard on "Everything Hits At Once" and "Believing Is Art."
  • An electric harpsichord featured on the songs, "My Little Japanese Cigarette Case," "Eddie's Ragga," and "Rhythm & Soul," from the album Ga Ga, Ga Ga Ga.
  • A Brent Averill PQ 1061 Stereo Pair, which was the main mic preamp for all recordings at Public Hi-Fi from 2001 to 2005.
  • A Gibson ES-330 that was Daniel's main studio and touring guitar in 2005 and 2006.
  • An Elektron Machinedrum that Daniel used while recording with his other band, Divine Fits.
  • A Tama Artstar II 4-Piece Drum Kit that Eno used as his live touring kit up through the release of the band's third album, Girls Can Tell.

The Official Spoon Reverb Shop is now live.
