We're all familiar with Supro's inherently cool vintage electric guitars and legendary, tone rich amplifiers. And lucky for all of us fans, Supro is releasing three new Island Series guitars this year that all hearken back to Supro's 1960s models.
The Jamesport, Westbury, and Hampton are all identical guitars in body shape, scale length, and build materials – alder body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard. Each guitar is fitted with Gold Foil pickups that are faithful recreations of the ones used for Valco guitars in the '50s.
The only difference between the three models are number of pickups and their orientation. The Jamesport is the barebones model with one humbucker-sized Gold Foil, the Westbury is the double humbucker-sized Gold Foil option, and the Hampton features three mini humbucker-sized Gold Foil pickups.
Joe likes the Westbury the best, but which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
