Video: Peter Frampton Shares Guitar Stories—George Harrison, Electric Lady & More

Grammy Award-winning musician Peter Frampton has had a brilliant career over the last five decades (and counting), filled with famed collaborations, well-regarded solo work, and history-making records. Now, for the first time, Frampton's fans can read the musician's own telling of his decades-long career, written in his own words. Frampton's new memoir, Do You Feel Like I Do?, was written with music journalist Alan Light and was released in late October.

We here at Reverb had a chance to sit down with Peter Frampton a few years ago to talk about the return of his 1954 Phenix Les Paul Custom. The musician graciously shared with us lots of excellent stories about his career and collection that didn't make it into our final video. But in light of the release of his memoir, what better time than now to take a peek into the vault?

Check out the video above to hear Frampton share all kinds of stories from his career—like how a casual first meeting with George Harrison turned into Frampton playing all of the lead licks on what would become a Doris Troy single, and which musicians inspired him to pick up various guitars in his collection. You can also catch Peter Frampton in Reverb's upcoming documentary release, The Pedal Movie, which will be premiering in early 2021.
