Song Stories: The Dandy Warhols' "Catcher in the Rye"

The Dandy Warhols have been around for quite a while. They formed in 1994 and gained widespread acclaim for their popular single, Bohemian Like You in 2001. And though that is the song that many people recognize them for, it is definitely not a complete summary of the band’s work.

The Dandy Warhols have been steadily active since their inception, having put out 10 albums to date. Most recently, they released their ninth studio album, Distortland, in April of 2016. In the video above, Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Brent DeBoer, and Zia McCabe talk about the band's songwriting process and how, ultimately, you can't force yourself to write a song – even if that means it takes 15 years to finish.
