Nine Inch Nails has a full year of recording and touring in 2020, and guitarist Robin Finck is heading into the fray with a minty new guitar from Reverend.
Built around the company's Sensei design, the Robin Finck signature is a no-frills monster meant for big sound. A bound ebony fretboard and korina body play host to a pair of Railhammer Chisel ceramic pickups, which sport "rail" magnets for the wound strings and pole magnets for the plain ones.
This combo reportedly delivers more focused bass response, which should work well with Reverend's trademark bass contour knob. A Tune-o-matic bridge and stop-bar tailpiece round out the model, available with two simple finishes: white or black.
The new Robin Finck model comes hot on the heels of three Reverend guitar announcements from last month: the brand-new Contender, the revisited Roundhouse and a souped-up version of the Warhawk.
The Contender is a new design for Reverend, a single-cut offset flattop available in a few different variations: The Reverend RB includes a Bigsby and Retroblast mini-humbuckers. The Contender 290 loses the Bigsby and gains a pair of P90 pickups. And the Contender HB also has a stop-bar tailpiece, but with a set of standard humbuckers.

Back in the mid-2000s, Reverend had a model they called the Roundhouse, but this new breed is quite a different animal. For starters, it is no longer a standard Les Paul–style guitar, sporting instead the offset single-cut body of the Contender, but with a carved top.
The Roundhouse features Reverend’s HA5 humbuckers, a stop-tail bridge, pau ferro fretboard, and no pickguard to detract from its flame maple top, which comes in black, turquoise, or brown finishes. They have a street price of $1,299 and can be found on Reverb now.
The Warhawk is now updated with a thinner wings and three 9A5 pickups for the Warhawk 390 model. The triple-pickup setup is "fat, raw, and bluesy with just enough bite to cut through the mix," according to Reverend. The Warhawk DA variant has the "Double Agent" pickup configuration of one HA5 humbucker and one 9A5 neck P90. Rounding out the new models is the Warhawk DAW, which adds a Wilkinson WVS50 IIK whammy-equipped bridge.
