Earlier this year, the global gear community received the terrible news that Aaron Miller, the founder of Pro Guitar Shop and the Tone Report online magazine, had passed after a battle with cancer. Aaron was an absolute force in the gear community and worked tirelessly to help musicians find their sound, nurturing many young pedal builders along the way.
While Pro Guitar Shop will be ending its retail operations this year, we here at Reverb are happy to say Tone Report will live on as part of our content spread. Andy Martin — easily one of the most recognizable figures in the online pedal world — will continue to produce what many consider to be the gold standard of demo videos as part of Reverb.
Overall, it's our hope that we can keep Aaron's legacy and that of Tone Report going by continuing to explore and celebrate every corner of the guitar gear and tone world. We want to produce videos and articles that inspire others to play the music they love, a goal which has been at the very core of both Tone Report and Reverb since our respective foundings. While we will not be publishing the virtual magazine, we will work to get back up and running with the same types of articles and videos that filled Tone Report in a new designated section of the Reverb News page.
And this is where you come in: If there's a topic you'd like to learn more about, a piece of gear you'd like to see demoed, or really any other idea or request, let us know. You can comment here or email us with ideas and we will do our very best to make it happen.
So please join us in welcoming Andy to the Reverb family, and stay tuned for more videos, articles, and more from Tone Report coming your way very soon.
