Last year, Native Instruments (NI) launched the Community Drive charity sound pack, raising $150,000 for organizations like Musicians Without Borders, the Grammy MusiCares fund, and Black Trans Femmes in the Arts. This year, the electronic music powerhouse is back with Community Drive 2021.
This year's sound pack includes more than 165 samples, 74 loops, 91 one shots, and 104 presets from SOFI TUKKER, !llmind, Telefon Tel Aviv, Saltyyyy V, Flohio, Phase Fatale, The Pocket Queen, Miss Tahloulah May, Zola Jesus, Wize, Jamie Lidell, Stichiz, and MEANGIRL.
It's an impressive roster of contributors, all united around a shared goal: expanding the presence of women music producers, DJs, and audio engineers.
The Community Drive 2021 is available as a completely free download—but everyone is encouraged to donate what they can to the Community Drive: Girls Make Beats GoFundMe. Native Instruments itself has already pledged $30,000.
All donations will go to Girls Make Beats, a non-profit that educates girls aged five through 17 on hardware equipment and music software, hosts seminars and summer camps, and spearheads other initiatives. Through these events, Girls Make Beats seeks to elevate and empower female producers across the music industry.
The free Community Drive 2021 is available for download now. After you get it, head over to the Community Drive: Girls Make Beats GoFundMe page to donate what you can.
