Learn to Play: Dan Palmer of Zebrahead's Tap and Slide Exercise

Dan Palmer, guitarist for punk band Zebrahead, is responsible for making a lot of crazy sounds. We've already watched him craft cool tones with the Digitech Whammy and keep his fingers agile with his eight–finger tapping technique.

Today, we're going to watch his ol' tap and slide trick. His left hand frets notes, while his right hand taps and slides down the rest of the neck. The result is an interesting squealing sound that Dan suggests players use sparingly in a solo here or there.
