Fender's Artist Roster and Master Builders Team Up to Support Crew Nation

Tour crews around the world are out of work. To help raise money for them, Fender has brought together its Master Builders and some of the biggest names in rock to sell a collection of one-off Custom Shop models and autographed guitars.

Each guitar is up for sale in The Official Fender x Crew Nation Reverb Shop now.

Five handcrafted Masterbuilt Custom Shop guitars will be available, along with exclusive guitars autographed by Jeff Beck, Flea, Tom Morello, Brad Paisley, Duff McKagan, and Eric Clapton.

100% of net proceeds will support roadies, sound engineers, lighting riggers, and other tour staff through Crew Nation, a charity Live Nation created after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the global touring industry.

Masterbuilt Custom Shop Guitars

Fender's Masterbuilt guitars enjoy a stunning reputation because of the exacting craft and one-of-a-kind detail Master Builders bring to their instruments. Each builder is a solo artist in their own right.

However, in this collection, every guitar is a duet. As Fender explains, "The five exclusive Masterbuilt Custom Shop guitars were built in teams of two by the esteemed Fender Master Builders, a never-before-seen collaboration from the collective." Astoundingly, the luthiers were able to do all this work at home, through coronavirus-related separation and social-distancing measures. Each guitar comes with a "Build at Home" neck plate to commemorate the time.

Yuriy Shishkov and Kyle McMillin: Fender Crew Nation Tele

For their Crew Nation Tele, Master Builders Yuriy Shishkov and Kyle McMillin created a two-piece ash body with a redwood burl top, and then hand-engraved artwork with inlay, stone, and diamonds.

Jason Smith and Dennis Galuszka: Fender Crew Nation Tamo Strat

Jason Smith and Dennis Galuszka's Crew Nation Tamo Strat makes a chambered body out of one of Fender's last remaining pieces of tamo ash and pairs it with a highly figured maple neck.

Ron Thorn and Paul Waller: Fender Crew Nation Korina Strat

The Crew Nation Korina Strat is a striking creation by Principal Master Builder Ron Thorn and Paul Waller, using a piece of korina Thorn had been saving and a set of Abigail Ybarra–wound pickups Waller had been looking to use.

Greg Fessler and Dale Wilson: Fender Crew Nation 2 Tone Tele

Greg Fessler and Dale Wilson collaborated to make the Crew Nation 2 Tone Tele, which features a two-piece ash body, custom relic'ing, and a Journeyman Relic lacquer finish.

Todd Krause and Carlos Lopez: Fender Crew Nation ‘56 Strat

Lastly, Todd Krause and Carlos Lopez's Crew Nation ‘56 Strat has an ash body with a lush green finish and a single-piece maple neck with a V profile.

Artist-Signed Guitars

Signed Tom Morello Stratocaster

Tom Morello's Soul Power Strat is a faithful recreation of one of his personal favorites. For the quick playability you need to pull off shredding leads and righteous riffs, the rosewood fingerboard offers a 9.5"-14" compound radius. The kill-switch toggle puts sputtering, scratchy accents at your fingertips.

Jeff Beck–Signed American Professional Stratocaster

Since 2016, Fender's American Professional series has been its standard American-built line. It features Tim Shaw-designed single-coil pickups, a modern Deep C neck profile, and a pop-in whammy bar, perfect for Jeff Beck–style vibrato.

Signed Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster

The country picker is known for his personal collection of paisley-adorned Telecasters, including one particular '64, which has a patterned pickguard and a silver sparkle finish. This Road Worn recreation of that Tele has a '64 Tele bridge pickup and Twisted Tele neck for hot, clear tones.

Signed Eric Clapton Stratocaster

As one of the most popular signature models ever released, the Clapton Stratocaster gives players classic Slowhand tone with Vintage Noiseless pickups, a built-in active mid-boost, and a special "soft V" neck profile.

Signed Flea Signature Active Jazz Bass

Flea's Active Jazz Bass has a single hot-wound humbucking pickup. Combined with the built-in preamp, it pumps out heavy, aggressive tones with ease. To his literal signature on the body, Flea has also added a little artwork of his own.

Signed Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass

When writing and recording Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction, Duff McKagan used an ‘80s Jazz Bass Special, a rare model that split the difference between a Jazz and a Precision. McKagan's signature model here features a Seymour Duncan STKJ2B single-coil bridge pickup and P-Bass split-coil neck pickup.

All of these guitars are available now in The Official Fender x Crew Nation Reverb Shop.
