Things are heating up on the NAMM floor in Anaheim, with plenty of companies unveiling hot new releases. Elektron just joined in the fun, with its reveal of the new Digitone.
Elektron Digitone
The Digitone is an 8-voice polyphonic digital synthesizer that, according to Elektron, "represents [their] visions of how FM synthesis can be revitalized and modernized." It works by combining FM sound generation with classic subtractive synthesis signal flow for a wide range of sounds accessible with one unique box.
Though the Digitone footprint is super small, the machine is packed with functionality. Users can choose from multiple FM algorithms, shape their tones with powerful filters and stellar effects, and arrange them using the Elektron sequencer.
