First unveiled back in 2019, the EarthQuaker Devices sunn O))) Life Pedal is a force to be reckoned with. Originally designed to give players the heavy, high-gain tones of sunn O)))'s audacious Life Metal record, it masterfully combines both an octave distortion and booster into one unit.

Ever since, EarthQuaker Devices and sunn O))) have continued to refine the pedal, which is currently available as a fine-tuned V3, which promises "to squeeze every last drop of heavy crushing tone available."

Now, the band has just dropped a special, artist-edition colorway, which brings the same great circuitry into a righteous silver enclosure. Push your own tone into the "overload ecstasy" the group captured on Life Metal, in the band's own preferred color.

The sunn O))) Life Pedal V3 contains an octave section that is more pronounced than previous builds, without sacrificing its bottom end. It also features a third footswitch dedicated to the octave effect, to give you more flexibility in how you use it.

Otherwise, the Life Pedal still retains everything that made the original so beloved: classic, silicon diode-driven tones, valve amp-like clipping tone, and enough tweakable parameters to dial in exactly the kind of boosted grit you need.
