This new design is the result of a collaboration between Oliver Ackermann of DBA and Alex Maas and Christian Bland of Austin psych seraphim The Black Angels. It's being sold in conjunction with the city's Levitation music event, which will take place in November.

Per a press release from DBA, "The Phosphene Scream is a compact delay and reverb effects unit designed to pay tribute to the unmistakable sounds of Austin's psychedelic rock legacy while also being a reverb and delay pedal so totally awesome that it'll dig craters on the moon and give you real-life flashbacks."

The release continues, "This one-of-a-kind lysergic ambience generator uses multiplied reflections of segments of comb-filtered waveforms to create a thick, sticky reverb with hazier vibes than long summer nights (and early mornings) in the Red River District."

Limited to a total of 420 units worldwide, the Phosphene Scream is available for pre-order now via Reverb and the Levivation web store. Remaining units will be sold at Levitation in Austin, November 7–10. Click here to order yours now.
