Sounds great at any volume, I paired it with a Thomann 2x12 with V30s and it sounded as good as most tube combos I've played. It also is excellent at taking pedals, and has a designated effects loop. The built-in EQ honestly isn't great, but any 5-band EQ pedal easily remedies that. This is not a high-gain amp, but I was able to get a saturated dual rectifier tone using a couple pedals, so its more of a great clean/overdriven starting point if you're after a more high-gain, modern sound. Originally, purchased because I wanted something that could function both as a quieter at-home amp but still be able to provide the output for local shows. It is really well made, surprisingly warm sounding, and reminds me of a Fender HR Deville in tone and responsiveness.
