Description
The G&L Tribute Series Legacy® combines the timeless sound of classic Alnico single-coil pickups with innovative refinements developed by Leo Fender during his later years of guitar design. Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed S•500 and Comanche® models, the Legacy delivers the familiar sparkle, chime, and quack associated with the most sought-after bolt-on guitars while offering enhanced versatility and performance.
Its trio of G&L CLF-100 Alnico V single-coil pickups were developed through extensive research by G&L's Paul Gagon, capturing the character and responsiveness of revered late-1950s single-coil designs. The result is a rich, articulate voice with exceptional clarity, dynamic response, and classic vintage-inspired tone.
Modern enhancements include Leo Fender’s PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) system, which allows greater tonal shaping than traditional tone controls by providing independent treble and bass roll-off across all pickup selections. The Leo Fender-designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato system offers smooth operation, excellent tuning stability, and expressive pitch control, making the Legacy a perfect blend of traditional tone and forward-thinking engineering.
