WORKING CONDITION: Excellent. The tuning on this analog synth is remarkably stable, and the keys feel great. The Attack Time and "Singing Level" (release) faders actually work in reverse, and having a VCO Modulation control speed separate from the LFO speed is a really great option. The filters are sharp and growly - much like the MS series filters that were soon to debut after the introduction of the 770. This is one killer monosynth!

PHYSICAL CONDITION:
Good. The wooden parts of the synth have some divets missing and a few rough spots, and the face of the metal chassis has a gouge under the VCO 1 Mode switch, as seen in photos.  Both of the "Mode" Knobs and the "Speed" knob not original, but fit the aesthetic very well. Other than this, the jacks, sliders, switches, and pots are all in very good condition.

INVENTORY #59315

BRAND: Korg

MODEL: K-770

FUNCTION: Monophonic Analog Keyboard Synthesizer

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a Vintage Korg K-770 Electronic Monophonic Analog Keyboard Synthesizer. The Korg 770 is a historic monophonic analog synthesizer released by Korg in 1976. It represents a crucial bridge between Korg's early "Mini-Korg" models and the legendary MS-series. Known for its raw, aggressive, and uniquely harmonically rich sound textures, it remains a highly collectible vintage instrument.

SPECS:

  • Serial # 780031
  • Dual Oscillators: VCO 1 offers triangle, sawtooth, square, pulse, and LFO-modulated pulse ("chorus") waves. VCO 2 delivers a sawtooth wave, independent tuning offsets, or a choice of three noise modes.
  • Scale Noise: Includes a unique noise source that tracks the pitch of the keyboard, alongside standard pink and white noise.
  • Ring Modulation: Features a powerful ring modulator utilizing both oscillators to achieve radical, experimental sci-fi tones.
  • External Input: External instruments (such as guitars or microphones) can be routed directly into the filter section and triggered via the keybed.
  • Traveler Filter System: Combines low-pass and high-pass filters in series. Moving the dual sliders creates expressive bandpass sweep interactions with distinct resonance and character.
  • Singing Envelope: Features a specialized envelope generator with non-traditional reverse sliders and a switchable fast "percussion" mode.
  • Auto-Bend & Vibrato: Equipped with automated pitch-bend capabilities and a dedicated vibrato LFO featuring a delayed onset control.
  • Form Factor: Features an upright, angled control panel and a full-size 32-note (F-to-C) keyboard chassis.

ACCESSORIES INCLUDED: This item comes as seen in photos and does not include any accessories.
