DW Collector's Purpleheart 7-Pc COMPLETE Kit (DRU5723-PHCB) — Quick Candy Black Burst VLT, Matched Serials, DW 5000 Hardware + Roc-N-Soc Throne — Excellent

DW Collector's Series Purpleheart 7-Piece Complete Kit — Quick Candy Black Burst over VLT Purpleheart. Complete Studio Ready-to-Play vs. shell pack only.

What this actually costs you. Sweetwater lists this exact shell pack (DRU5723-PHCB) at $10,637.50 — shells only, no hardware. This listing is $10,225 with free shipping and includes $1,674 of DW hardware new: the 5000TD4 Turbo pedal, 5000 hi-hat stand, two DWCP9934 tom/cymbal stands with 934 boom arms, a Pearl double-braced snare stand, and a Roc-N-Soc Nitro throne. Back the hardware out and the shells price at roughly $8,551 — about 20% under new, on a single-owner kit that has never left a home studio.

Single-owner, home-studio kit, purchased new in July 2021 and never gigged — with the original Sweetwater invoice included.

Complete kit vs. shell pack — what that means for your wallet.

Most DW Collector's Purpleheart listings are shells only. To actually play one, you'd still need a matching Collector's Purpleheart snare (~$1,100–1,400) and a full hardware package (~$1,674) — roughly $2,800–3,000 on top of the sticker. This kit includes both, plus the throne. Nothing else to buy.

This is the complete, ready-to-play flagship configuration (DW SKU DRU5723-PHCB): 8"/10"/12" rack toms, 14"/16" floor toms, 23" bass drum, and matching 14" snare — all built on DW's exclusive VLT (Vertical Low Timbre) Purpleheart shells. Purpleheart is denser than oak, delivering the punch, projection, and focused attack this line is known for. The finish is the striking Quick Candy Black Burst — a translucent candy lacquer that glows through the natural Purpleheart grain at the center and fades to black at the edges — paired with black nickel hardware throughout.

What sets this kit apart:

Genuine matched Collector's Series order — sequential serial numbers across the shells (698497–698506), documented in the photos.

The snare shell shows the small natural "heart" figure in the Purpleheart grain that Collector's Purpleheart owners specifically look for — a prized characteristic of this exotic wood.

Original Sweetwater invoice included (order 28082224, DRU5723-PHCB), confirming single-owner provenance and the 2021 purchase.

INCLUDED HARDWARE — ALL SIX ADDITIONAL PIECES (no substitutions, nothing sold separately)

Total hardware replacement cost at current retail: $1,674. Every stand, the pedal, and the throne are included in the sale price. Nothing here is an add-on.
