• Electronics: 100% untouched factory solder joints with original T-Top pickups and pots dating to September of 1974.
• Playability: Both necks are straight, the original frets show minimal play wear, and the rosewood boards are clean and divot-free.

This is a premier, collector-grade instrument for someone looking for the ultimate centerpiece to their collection.

DESCRIPTION: Please note that the photos serve as an illustrated description, and should help in your decision making process. This guitar has survived 52 years with no breaks and no modifications or customizations. SN 402266, Made in USA mechanically stamped on the 6-string headstock. Original Alpine White finish has aged gracefully with natural lacquer checking and UV yellowing of the top clear coats. The necks are straight and true, and the truss rods work as designed. Little wear to the frets and fretboards. It weighs 11 pounds 6 ounces, and has its four original T-top pickups. The control pots cleanly sweep (codes 1377437) without static or other indicators of needed maintenance. The toggle switches engage their contacts solidly. All solder points look untouched.

The original tuning machines are inside the OHSC compartment. I swapped the originals and lightly aged 2 sets of Kluson Deluxe replicas about 12 years ago simply to preserve the originals, which held tuning as designed. New owner can choose to replace the originals upon receipt.

Other than an additional strap button, and maybe an O/P jack wire repair, there are no other deviations from factory delivery that I can detect - remember the life span to date is over 52 years. The Gibson black tolex with purple lining OHSC is in exceptional condition in and out. Some OEM case candy is included.

Please note: I included a few glamour shots provided to me by the seller in 2012 that show speed knobs, which he added. Luckily he kept the original witch hat knobs and returned them to their rightful place before shipping to me. See the photo of the guitar inside the case (excellent condition) along with case candy (included).
