Beautiful Greco EG-500 Custom from the highly desirable Super Real era, made in Japan in November 1982.
These Super Real Grecos have earned an outstanding reputation for their craftsmanship, quality materials, and vintage-inspired construction. Even decades later, they continue to be some of the finest Japanese single-cut guitars ever produced.
This one has just been cleaned, restrung, and professionally set up here at Japanese Guitar Company. It plays effortlessly with low action and a comfortable feel all the way up the neck.
Overall, the guitar is in very good condition. There are scattered dings, scratches, finish wear, and general cosmetic signs of age throughout, exactly what you'd expect from a well-cared-for instrument that's over 40 years old. The gold hardware has developed a nice vintage patina that really complements the Cherry Sunburst finish.
The frets remain in great shape with plenty of life left, and the guitar plays exactly as it should. Everything functions properly and is ready for its next owner.
If you've been looking for a Super Real-era Greco Custom without spending the premium commanded by the higher-end models, this EG-500 is a fantastic value that delivers the feel and quality these guitars have become famous for.
