----//// Video available after the pics \\\\----Incredibly rare and all original Greco EG model Limited Edition offering a stunning Goldtop finish and 2 unique Maxon humbucker pickups.Handcrafted in Japan in 1980 (serial number #0 7365) during the Super Real era, this guitar is a high-end 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop copy, made with premium tonewoods and parts.Limited Edition models did not appear in any Greco catalog at the time. The closest catalog models were both 1) the EGF-1800 Super Real with solid maple top and Maxon humbucker pickups and 2) the EG-800GS Super Real with Goldtop finish. This Limited Edition model sports 2 original double cream Maxon PAF copy humbuckers that sound fantastic : smooth but very defined. Both are serial numbered but with no other indication (like Z or PU-2) with undisturbed solder joints. This model also sports CP-C oil type capacitors.Body is 1-piece solid mahogany back with a 2-piece carved solid maple top. Very faithful gold hue with nitro lacquer finish. Some light wear and checking on the side and a few lacquer touch-ups on the horn. It had no pickguard from the factory (no screw holes on the body top and rim). Neck is solid mahogany with a beautiful rosewood fingerboard (some say Greco offered brazilian rosewood on this particular model, but I cannot guarantee) with mother-of-pearl inlays. The D profile is very comfy and feels very smooth with nitro lacquer (let's mention one small, superficial hairline crack in the lacquer at the neck angle). Dowel tenon neck construction (like the earliest Super Reals). Medium frets are in excellent condition. Plays easily all along the neck with no fret buzz. Greco Deluxe tuners. The truss-rod cover indicates that the guitar was distributed by Key, a high-end music store in Japan. No break or repair (except for the mentionned touch-up spots on the horn). Everything (hardware and electronics) function as it should. Guitar feels lightweight for a Les Paul (copy) model at 3.885kg (8lbs 9oz).Guitar sounds as good as any EGF-1200 (with unique Maxon pickups sounding as good as Dry-Zs) but is much rarer !Comes with a very protective brown tolex Gator hardcase with pink interior plush in excellent condition.--- Will ship double-boxed and fully insured.
