Clip-On Condenser Microphone for Violin and Similar Instruments
The DPA 4099 CORE+ Instrument Microphone with Violin Clip is a professional clip-on condenser microphone system designed to capture the natural tone of violins and other small string instruments with accuracy and consistency. It provides a reliable close-miking solution for live performance, studio recording, and broadcast applications while remaining compact and visually unobtrusive.

High SPL Performance for Demanding Playing Styles
This Loud SPL version is built to handle sound pressure levels up to 145 dB without distortion, making it suitable for aggressive bowing, amplified stage environments, and high-output acoustic performances. It maintains clarity and dynamic detail even when positioned close to the instrument, ensuring consistent results across a wide range of playing techniques.

Focused Pickup with Excellent Isolation
A supercardioid polar pattern keeps the microphone focused on the instrument while reducing bleed from surrounding sound sources. This focused pickup improves gain before feedback and provides clean, isolated sound in orchestral, ensemble, and live stage settings where control and separation are essential.

CORE+ Technology for Expanded Dynamic Range
DPA’s CORE+ technology delivers a wider dynamic range and improved headroom compared to previous designs. This results in lower distortion, greater detail, and a more transparent sound that accurately reflects the instrument’s character across both subtle passages and powerful performances.

Secure Violin Mount with Instrument-Safe Design
The included violin mounting clip attaches securely without damaging the instrument’s finish. It allows fast setup and precise positioning, ensuring stable placement during performance while preserving the instrument’s natural resonance and appearance.

Flexible Connectivity for Wired and Wireless Systems
A MicroLock connector provides a secure, dependable connection and compatibility with a wide range of wired adapters and wireless transmitters. This flexibility allows the same microphone to be used across different systems, making it a practical choice for touring musicians and professional sound engineers.

Built for Touring and Real-World Conditions
With an IP58 rating, the microphone is resistant to dust and moisture, ensuring dependable operation in challenging environments. Its lightweight, low-profile construction makes it easy to transport while standing up to the demands of frequent use and travel.
