For sale is an exceptionally clean early-production Boss PH-1 Phaser from the original Made in Japan era.

The fully fonctional pedal has been carefully cleaned and preserved while maintaining its originality. All controls function correctly and the effect operates exactly as intended. ACA 12v power era, also runs on 9v battery or daisy chained with other pedals. Uses the skeleton switch which only lights the Check LED momentarily when pressed. Video showing the pedal and controls fonctionning to be provided upon request.

Condition

Vintage museum condition and fully functional. All original electronics and operates exactly as it should. Original paint retains excellent gloss with strong lettering throughout. Very few small nicks and light marks visible only upon close inspection. No rust, corrosion, or abuse.

Original box, instruction manual, BOSS sticker and Roland patch cable (in original Roland bag) are included. The original box shows wear consistent with age but remains structurally sound and displays well.

The original screw grommet had broken down with age and had become the consistency of tar (a very common issue on early BOSS pedals). It has been replaced with a properly fitted black rubber grommet to prevent metal-to-metal contact or further deterioration. Pictures of the before, during and after of the process can be provided upon request. A tiny removable protective O-ring has also been added underneath the silver screw head to protect the paint. The almost invisible O-ring is completely removable in seconds and does not affect functionality.

🎸 Finding a PH-1 is not particularly difficult. But finding a complete silver-screw, black-label, long-dash, skeleton-switch example with original box, manual, sticker, patch cables and accessories is increasingly uncommon. And for the pedal to be in this condition, that's a once in a lifetime find.
