An absolutely stunning Martin that represents the pinnacle of their craftsmanship and artistry. The Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 recreates one of the most appreciated acoustic guitars of all time. This features Martin’s VTS (Vintage Tone System) Adirondack spruce top, historically accurate forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, hide glue construction, and a period-correct neck profile. The neck is considerably larger than most modern Martin steel strings. The headstock is solid with 1937 Taper, Diamond, and Script Golden Era overlay. It sounds as full, bright, and expressive as you’d hope a top of the line Martin dreadnought would sound. It has no cracks or issues and ships with the original case!
