The Ibanez Standard RG470DX: High-Octane Shred Mastery Meets Premium Aesthetic

Unleash your full creative potential with the Ibanez Standard RG470DX, a high-caliber instrument purpose-built for metal, prog, and fusion innovators who demand uncompromising performance. Wrapped in a jaw-dropping Wine Red Frozen Matte finish, this solidbody electric guitar combines the iconic, razor-sharp lines of the RG series with ergonomic refinements that facilitate blazing-fast playability. Whether you are laying down technical rhythmic riffs or executing rapid-fire sweeping leads, the RG470DX stands ready as an absolute workhorse for the studio and the stage.

The structural foundation of the RG470DX relies on a solid meranti body. This choice of tonewood strikes a perfect weight balance while delivering a punchy sound with a subtly scooped midrange, allowing your guitar to cut straight through a dense mix. Bolted to the body is Ibanez’s legendary maple Wizard III neck—a design celebrated by fleet-fingered guitarists worldwide. This ultra-slim and comfortably flat neck profile provides an incredibly wide platform, making complex arpeggios, rapid legato lines, and extreme string bends feel effortless. It is topped with a warm jatoba fingerboard sporting 24 jumbo frets for unmatched high-register access, all beautifully accented by striking, stage-ready Shark Tooth inlays.

Acoustic resonance translates into fierce electric power via an versatile HSH trio of proprietary Ibanez Quantum pickups. The ceramic humbuckers at the neck and bridge are engineered to deliver maximum impact, producing a snarling, tight low end and a boosted midrange that shines under heavy saturation without sacrificing note articulation. Nestled between them is a Quantum single-coil pickup, opening up a world of glassy treble response and punchy, blues-inflected tones. Command over your sonic spectrum is intuitive, thanks to a 5-way pickup selector blade and global master volume and tone pots. To cap it all off, the Edge-Zero II double-locking tremolo system grants you total freedom to execute subterranean dive-bombs and dramatic harmonic squeals while ensuring rock-solid tuning stability when you return to pitch.
