Slingerland Radio King 1950 - White Marine Pearl

I’m selling my vintage circa 1950 Radio King set. The sizes are

14x22 bass

9x13 tom

12x14 tom with Gilbraltar clip on legs

7x14 solid maple Radio king snare with a Clam Shell strainer. This was a put together kit. I had the bass drum and bought the two toms from someone who said his father got them in 1950, then I bought the snare. The interesting thing is all the lugs and rims on all the drums are chrome plated. Evans heads on the toms and bass drum, Snare drum has Aquarian American Vintage batter head and snare head. Hardware that’s included is three floor tom legs.floor tom leg brackets, Snare drum stand for the 9x13 , the original clip on bass drum spurs. There was a cymbal mount on the top of the bass drum near the badge which was removed. No other holes in any of the drums. All drums have all their original parts, rims tension rods etc., internal mufflers are there and work fine. Both toms have engraved rims , snare drum does not have engraved rim. Bass and toms have the three pky mahogany poplar Mahogany shells with the big maple reinforcement rings, snare is one solid piece of maple with maple reinforcement rings. Clam shell strainer works well for a clam shell, on position is either all the way right or left off position is when the arm is facing up.Puresound snare wires on snare. Seams are flat All bearing edges are original and in great condition .Both toms have their original tom mounts but are missing the bottom part which would clip into the bass drum hoop. You can find original Slingerland clip in tom mounts but I decided to use a snare stand and I bought these Gilbralter clip on floor tom Leg brackets with legs which work much better. Slight difference in color between the toms and bass and snare. Drum cases are included for all four drums. These drums sound great, I’ve used them on blues gigs and lately some Rockabilly gigs. $2,300. Local pickup is preferred in Accord NY zip is 12404.
