classic fuzz & studio grade reamplifier   MIDGARD uses a traditional, but very lovely classic BC108 fuzz circuit, but expands on the theme with a few very unique features. Similar to many fuzzes before it, MIDGARD let’s you add a buffer and a pickup simulator in front of the fuzz circuit itself. This makes it so that the fuzz no longer cares about whatever you might stick in front of it, but unlike other pedals like it, MIDGARD has a fully separate input jack just for this feature. In other words, you can bypass it completely if you don’t need it for your purposes, but more importantly, this input circuit is an always-on feature on the secondary jack. The bypass switch only toggles the fuzz circuit. This means the pedal can also offer the same input correction to any of your other finicky fuzzes. It also means you can use the included fuzz, or any other fuzz, or even any other guitar electronics, even amps, with whatever instrument you might please. You could even use it as a dedicated reamplification device, to send whatever tracks you want from your audio interface through MIDGARD and into any of your pedals and amps. Think of the possibilities! The buffer itself is using an OPA1656 chip both for the audio buffering, and also for its power handling, for a truly exquisite input behaviour, normally only seen in high end studio equipment. The pickup simulator is tuned to match the behaviour of my own 1957 Fender Musicmaster as closely as possible. However, there is a final trick that takes this just one step beyond all the other options on the market. MIDGARD also comes with an expression pedal jack input which allows you to get that classic fuzz cleanup, no matter where you stick it in your audio chain.
