A new model at the time, the Coronado series from Fender was their attempt to break into the hollowbody market, with a 6-string and 12-string guitar model and a bass version, the Coronado Bass I. There was also a two-pickup version of the bass model called the Coronado Bass II. With all that, this model never caught on but should have, it's a great short scale Fender bass with a great sound and character. It is in great shape with normal wear to the neck and body, it is set up great and all ready to go.
This example has a replaced nut and is missing the 'F' inlay on the tailpiece. Besides that it is all original with a neck dated Sep. '67 and pot codes dated the 7th week of '67. Serial #196533, comes with a non original case. Weighs 6.2lbs. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
