The Taylor GS Mini Mahogany is the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go — or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor's Grand Sypmhony body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing lots of tone into a comfortable size and giving you a guitar that's incredibly fun to play.

Compared to the Baby Taylor, the GS Mini Mahogany has a bigger, deeper body, longer scale length, and a bigger soundhole, which together yield incredible volume and a level of tonal richness that’s comparable to a full-scale guitar without compromising portability. Think of it as a modern-day parlor guitar, perfect for playing around the house but also built to fit an active lifestyle, yet with a voice that’s big enough to be a player’s primary guitar.

The Taylor GS Mini Mahogany features a solid tropical mahogany top with layered sapele back and sides. The mahogany top delievers a rootsier sound than a spruce top. The GS Mini Mahogany is constructed with X-bracing featuring their patented relief rout. This is Taylor’s original X pattern, featuring scalloped braces. The “X” provides a continuous flow of strength from the upper bout to the lower bout, which provides rigidity in spite of the soundhole’s location in the middle of the soundboard. The patented relief rout is a tone-enhancing voicing technique in which a groove is carved along the inside edges of the top. This groove is similar in function to the re-curve on a violin — it “loosens up” the edges of the top, generating extra flexibility without sacrificing structural integrity. Taylor first began using this groove in 2002. The result is increased bass and volume with a balanced tone.

The GS Mini Mahogany also features Taylor’s patented NT neck and other enhanced aesthetic details, including an inlaid rosette, top purfling, and a pickguard. The Taylor GS Mini Mahogany is also prefitted for a proprietary magnetic soundhole pickup, the Taylor ES-Go, which can be purchased as an after-market add-on and can easily be installed by anyone in minutes. Includes Taylor GS Mini Hardbag.

Features:

Scaled-down Grand Symphony body

Solid tropical mahogany top

Layered Sapele back and sides

Sapele neck

Ebony fingerboard and bridge

Pearloid dot inlays

NuBone nut and saddle

Die-cast chrome tuners

Elixir Medium Gauge Strings with NANOWEB Coating

23-1/2" scale

X-Bracing with Relief Rout

Pre-fitted for ES-Go pickup (not included)

Taylor gig bag included

Taylor guitars feature a limited lifetime warranty

Get your Taylor GS Mini Mahogany Top Acoustic Guitar today at the guaranteed lowest price from Sam Ash Direct with our 45-day return and 60-day price protection policy.

⚠️This product can expose you to chemicals including Lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
