The ‘Strongest Name in Drums’ has done it again…they’ve pushed the design concept to the creative edge and forged a new snare drum for drummers to explore. TAMA introduces STARPHONIC. It’s the new sound from the golden age! The PMM146STM is constructed with 6 plies of Maple and one outer ply of Satin Mappa Burl, which forms the 6mm shell. It has modernized Retro-style features to achieve rich and desirable vintage sounds. The Quick-release Freedom Lug, Claw Hook, and Grooved Hoop provide rapid drum head changes and enhanced tone. Also equipped with the Linear Drive Strainer with calibrated Ratchet Style tension adjustment knob. Also features a detachable butt-plate for rapid snappy snare and head change. Ultra-thin shells provide pure optimum resonance and pristine performance. Included on the PMM146STM is a super sensitive Hi-Carbon Snappy Snare. Made in Japan. Once you get a look at this snare, you’ll see why the STARPHONIC series is winning all the well-deserved praise.
