AKG C414 XLII Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

AKG’s C414 microphone is a legendary classic for good reason. It’s known for being extremely versatile and can handle almost any sound source, leading to its use in recording studios, live settings, and broadcast studios alike. The microphone even offers nine polar patterns so that you can perfectly capture sound in any situation.

Incredible Control Options

If you want a multitude of polar patterns, pads, and filters on your microphone, the C414 XLII is perfect for you. The C141 XLII features five selectable polar patterns (cardioid, wide cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8, and omnidirectional) along with four intermediate settings that allow for in-between pattern blending. The microphone also offers three bass cut filter options (40 Hz, 80 Hz, and 160 Hz) along with three pad options (-6dB, -12dB, and -18dB).

Improved Capsule Design

The C414 XLII’s capsule was designed to be more similar to AKG’s C12 microphone. This new capsule design features a slight presence boost and spatial reproduction that makes elements such as vocals stand out even in the densest mixes.

Great for Any Scenario

The greatest feature of AKG’s C414XLII is its versatility. This microphone can handle nearly everything you throw at it and has even been used outside of music in broadcast settings. If you’re adding it to your recording studio arsenal, you can use it on vocals, guitar cabinets, drum overheads, and so much more.
