The Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer is the legendary overdrive pedal famous for its warm, amp-like tone and signature mid-range boost. Originally released in the late 1970s, it is an essential tool for guitarists to push a tube amplifier, boost solos, or tighten up a dirty tone.

Core Features & ToneThe TS808 is celebrated for its dynamic response and smooth, symmetrical clipping. Key aspects of the pedal include:

• The "Mid-Hump": It boosts a specific frequency range (around 720-750 Hz), which is highly effective for cutting through a dense band mix.
• The JRC4558D Chip: The reissue models feature the classic JRC4558D integrated circuit, which is widely considered by purists to be crucial to the original tone.
• Classic Layout: It includes standard controls for Overdrive (gain), Tone (brightness), and Level (volume).
• The Square Footswitch: Distinctive from the TS9, the TS808 features the iconic square footswitch rather than the rectangular one.
