I am selling this Stuart Spector Euro 5 LX in very good condition EXCEPT the original TonePump preamp now works properly. It was disconnected because the owner thought it was too hot. We had a tech reconnect the TonePump preamp and again the controls for the bass and treble controls all function as designed. The serial number is NB13348. It was made in Czechoslovakia and weigh 9 lb 15.7 oz and inside the Spector padded bag the total weight is 12 lb 13.8 oz
These Spector Euro guitars utilize a rock-solid, 3-piece maple neck-through construction with a 35-inch scale length for tight B-string tension.
The Preamp Behavior: The EMG BTS preamp in the Classic features a clear "zero" center-detent position, making it incredibly easy to dial back or boost cleanly. The older LX models equipped with the Spector TonePump are notoriously "hot" and aggressive, often requiring you to run them at 50% to prevent overpowering your amp. Newer LX models feature the Spector Legacy preamp, which leans into a modern, clear grit.
