- It’s pretty hard to find the RUDES in the Sound Edge series, especially where you can hear what they sound like. Not a lot of places actually have these Paistes in stock.
- Raw. Unlathed. Fairly dark. Great cutting ability without clanking - these Rudes are not as heavy as many people may think. But they still cut!
- The RUDES have become one of Paiste’s hallmark series - used by Stewart Copeland, Nicko McBrain, Alex Van Halen, and many others.
- And of course with that iconic, crisp, BONE CRUNCHING SOUND EDGE CHICK. It’s clean and shimmers!
- 880 and 1132 grams.
- Paiste describes these Rudes as:
“Raw, full, energetic. Fairly wide range, fairly complex mix. Heavy, controllable feel. Full, dirty, loud open sound. Sharp, cutting, strong chick sound. The sound edge for heavy players.”
- A bit confusing Paiste ….but the main point is they’re raw, semi-dry, cutting, a punch complex when opened and with the iconic Sound Edge Chick that is so familiar to the ears!
- At these grams weights, they’re not overly clanky. They sound great in medium settings too.
- No issues. Played for the video and that is it. Perfect shape!
- Not easy to find and it’s ridiculous to spend $550 at a big box store for a guess at your tone!
