For sale is a 2022 Collings D2HG, a thoughtfully customized example featuring several highly desirable factory options: German Spruce, Adirondack bracing, No Tongue Brace construction, and pickup-ready specifications.

This D2HG, compared to a standard D2H, is defined by its combination of tonewoods and custom construction details. The German spruce top offers remarkable balance, refinement, and dynamic sensitivity, while the Adirondack bracing provides additional headroom, power, and projection. The No Tongue Brace option allows the upper bout to resonate more freely, contributing additional openness and complexity to the overall voice.

The result is a dreadnought with outstanding clarity, wide dynamic range, and exceptional note separation. It retains the power and projection Collings dreadnoughts are known for, while offering a more nuanced and expressive response than many traditional bluegrass-oriented builds.

The neck and top remain structurally healthy, and the guitar is currently set up to standard specifications using Martin MA540 strings. Playability is excellent, with comfortable action and strong responsiveness throughout the fingerboard.

Cosmetically, the guitar shows normal signs of use from being played rather than stored. There are light surface scratches, pick marks, minor top impressions, finish impressions, and general handling wear on the body. Frets show light use but remain in very good condition.

An LR Baggs Anthem pickup system is installed, making the guitar equally at home on stage, in the studio, or in acoustic settings.

Includes the original hard case, warranty documentation, serial-number paperwork, and all accompanying case candy.
