1962 Gretsch 22/13/14/14x5.5 - “Born Together” Kit!

Here's something you won't see every day. A "born-together" 22/13/14/14X5.5 Round Badge kit from 1962. Very low and closely grouped serial numbers make these an early silver sealer/label RB kit (See last pic). It has the very rare and desirable 14x14 floor tom. All shells are Jasper 6-ply.

These were in nice shape when I got them from the most recent owner about a year ago. He had recently purchased them from the original owner’s grandson. They were 100% original down to the heads.

After I purchased them, they were completely disassembled and all the hardware was cleaned and polished. All threads were tapped and chased. Lugs were packed with felt. Bearing edges were expertly dressed by Micah Doering at Cask Drum in Spokane, WA. They now tune up beautifully and have that “Great Gretsch Sound”!

The midnight blue pearl wrap was overall in very good condition and received a thorough cleaning and polish. A few seams/areas were re-glued where necessary using 3M Fastbond contact adhesive.

The heads are a mixture of new/excellent used Remo Ambassador Coated batters and clear resos. The BD has a new Remo Controlled Sound batter and the original 1962 Gretsch logo reso(!). I have all of the original heads, and the coated resos (same as the batters) for the toms are in excellent shape.

Includes original BD mounted cymbal stands, hex key for tom mount and drum key in the snare. These need absolutely nothing and are ready for the studio, stage or music room. Please message me if you have any questions or would like pictures of anything specific. Buck Rogers snare stand not included.
